Mallorca, the principle island of the Balearics,is situated in the Mediterranean sea. The language of Mallorca is of course Spanish and the local dialect “Mallorquin” stemming from Catalan, however almost everyone on Mallorca speaks or understands some English, so there should not be any large communication problems during your stay.
